Steel/Fiberglass Jacketed Tank
The Plasteel® Double Wall Elutron® Jacketed Tank is designed with a primary steel tank that is fully assembled, welded, and tested for tightness to provide long-lasting underground structural strength. Around this inner tank, a fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) jacket is applied 360 degrees with aluminum foil stand-off material, creating a protective interstitial space. This space allows for continuous monitoring, making it possible to detect any presence of liquid, while also serving as a secondary containment system to safely hold it and reduce environmental risk in compliance with Underwriters Laboratories standards UL58 and UL1746.
